Crystal Palace transfer embargo lifted

Monday, 24 August 2009

CRYSTAL Palace boss Neil Warnock is gearing up for a hectic final week of the transfer window after an embargo preventing the Eagles signing players was lifted.

The former Sheffield United boss had been unable to add any new faces because of the transfer ban, relating to money owed by Palace.

But those matters have now been settled and Warnock can resume his hunt for additions and, in particular, a replacement for injured summer signing Stern John.

“The embargo has been lifted today, so I’m trying hard to bring in one or two new faces,” Warnock told the South London Press.
