Exclusive: John set for Palace move

CRYSTAL Palace have ended their search for a striker - after agreeing a deal for Stern John.

The South London Press exclusively revealed a couple of weeks ago that the Eagles were chasing a deal for the experienced Trinidad & Tobago international.

And John is now ready to make Palace his latest English club, with only a medical standing in the way of a move to South London.

Southampton wanted to keep the 32-year-old - with new boss Alan Pardew offering him fresh terms - but the former Forest and Birmingham man is relishing the opportunity of Championship football.
