DAVID Haye has put up a life-size poster of Audley Harrison in his Vauxhall gym to give him extra motivation ahead of their November 13 clash. The Hayemaker, 29, did the same before his points victory over the giant Nikolai Valuev when he won the WBA heavyweight title and for his first defence against American John Ruiz in April. The Bermondsey puncher has agreed to meet former friend Harrison at the MEN Arena in Manchester after failing to secure unification fights against either Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko. The pair held a heated press conference at the Plaza Riverbank Hotel on Tuesday, just down the road from his training base, and Haye continued the insults on Twitter afterwards. He posted: "So it's me vs Audley 'A-farce' Harrison! This chump is gonna get seriously VIOLATED!!!!" And on Wednesday he added: "Just finished morning workout with lifesize poster of Fraudly in my gym!! Damn it makes it easier to push myself." Haye, nine years younger than his opponent, is a huge favourite to retain his title. The bookies have him at 1/3 to win by stoppage or 7/2 on points. Olympic gold medallist Harrison is 14/1 to get a decision and 7/1 for an insidethe-distance victory. Get today's South London Press for more on the big fight. Follow us on Twitter - @SLPsport. |
