CHARLTON have ruled out any chance of Jordan Cousins leaving this summer.

The Greenwich-born midfielder - voted Player of the Year last season - is on the radar of a number of Premier League sides.

But the South London Press has been told that selling Cousins is not even up for debate and that he will be staying in SE7.

The Addicks have put contract negotiations on the backburner while they focused on strengthening their squad - adding giant Danish striker Simon Makienok on a season-long loan from Palermo and Sunderland midfielder El-Hadji Ba this week.

Charlton do intend to sit down with Cousins, 21, whose storming high-energy displays in the centre of the park have attracted interest from the top flight. Newcastle, Aston Villa and Norwich are known to be admirers.
