MILLWALL defender Jake Goodman is looking for a club after being told AFC Wimbledon would not try to sign him in the summer.
The Lions centre-back played 17 games during a six-month loan at Kingsmeadow this season, earning plaudits from Dons boss Neal Ardley.
The 21-year-old was released by Lions manager Neil Harris earlier this month -
leaving the door open for the Dons to sign him on a free transfer.
But Ardley has told Goodman he will not pursue the option.
Goodman said: “Neal told me he was looking for
centre-backs who are older, with more experience.
“There has been quite a bit of interest but nothing concrete yet.
“Neil spoke to me and said he was going to let me go so I could play regular football, which is fine by me. I appreciated how he did it.
“I did pretty well at AFC?Wimbledon. I certainly learned a lot from playing week in, week out. You get beaten up by forwards
regularly and learn how to deal with that.
