JULIAN Speroni describes himself as a Crystal Palace fan - but tonight is a chance for the club’s supporters to show him the love for over a decade of outstanding service.

The South American, who turned 36 last week, will be firmly under the spotlight when Dundee, his only other club on British shores, come to the capital to provide the opposition for his testimonial.

But despite being inducted into the Dee’s Hall of Fame earlier this season, Palace is home for Speroni.

The Argentinian goalkeeper has had opportunities to leave SE25 - not least when QPR and Fulham were both interested in 2010. Palace were in the financial maelstrom of administration at the time. But Speroni has never been about chasing the money.
