CRYSTAL Palace chairman Steve Parish has spelt out that any new investors will not have control over the direction of the Premier League outfit.

And the Eagles supremo is adamant that the current board - which also includes Stephen Browett, Martin Long and Jeremy Hosking - will not risk anybody wrecking the rebuilding job that they have carried out since bringing the club out of administration in 2010.

American billionaire Joshua Harris and his business partner David Blitzer have held talks about buying into the Eagles.

But it now appears that the ownership structure could see a significant increase in those holding stakes in the SE25 club.

Parish is annoyed at the way that the talks - branded as takeover in sections of the press - have been covered so far.
