JOS Hooiveld didn't have to ask about Millwall when the option of signing for Ian Holloway came up.
That's because one of his best friends is a fan.
Old Kent Road-raised Kenny Pavey only played for the Lions' youth side, in the early 1990s.
But he has remained a fan all his life, and played alongside Hooiveld at Stockholm's AIK from 2009-10.
And the 31-year-old defender, who signed on loan from Southampton this afternoon, revealed: "Millwall came up and I knew a lot about the club.
"One of my best friends, Kenny Pavey, is a big Millwall fan. And I knew it would be a good place to come."
Pavey began his youth career at Athenlay before coming to Millwall.
He did not make a first-team appearance for the Lions before moving to Sittingbourne.
A transfer to top-flight Aston Villa fell through over the fee, but he moved to Sweden to play for second-tier side Ljungskile SK before earning his move to AIK.
