Palace hope to persuade Delaney to stay

Thursday, 27 September 2012

PALACE boss Dougie Freedman is hoping that Damien Delaney will be so happy in South London that he scraps plans for a New Year move to the United States.

The Eagles have not lost since the Irish defender arrived on a short-term deal last month.

Delaney has an option to go to America in 2013.

But Freedman told Tuesday's edition of the South London Press: “I’d like to think that the way we’re playing and performing - and being in such a professional environment - might just change his mind. I’m working on that!"
